I’ve been on the keto diet since monday after Christmas. I’ve only lost 1 pound. Im not in ketosis. I do drink powder which puts me into ketosis. Why aren’t i in ketosis or loosing weight? Are you diabetic and eating alot of protein? If so, then your body is probably turning turning protein into glucose. Also how many carbs are you eating? Because you might have to count calories to make sure you’re in a deficit until ketosis kicks in.

Would a ketogenic diet help someone suffering from fatty liver disease do to alcohol use? My understanding is that insulin rises when the body is processing alcohol. So is fatty liver disease from drinking caused because of this insulin spike? Is insulin the real enemy and could a ketogenic diet help someone who drank themselves into a fatty liver?
