  1. Hi:
I do not use iTunes, podcasts, etc. How can I access your info in writing?

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    David B.

  2. Please explain your Berberine. Like you I am very insulin resistant. I do stay on ketosis. I do measure blood keytones. .5-1.0, How will your Berberine halp me?

    • Karen,
Berberine is a naturally occuring herbal product derived from a number of plants including plants including European barberry, goldenseal, goldthread, Oregon grape, phellodendron, and tree tumeric.
The benefit is that it has a similar mechanism of action in improving glucose signaling that metformin and the DPP4 inhibitor medications like Januvia, Onglyza and Nesina have. It also has been shown in a number of studies to have a mild anti-microbial effect as well as an anti-inflammatory effect. I find it to be very effective in those with impaired fasting glucose that aren’t quite in need of the stronger prescription medications.

      • Dr. Nally, thanks for getting back. I guess my question now is , will Berberine give me a chance to ease up on how strictly I have to eat to stay in ketosis without any harm to me. I am ready to order, just want to be sure of it’s safeness for one that stays in ketosis 99% all the time. It would be nice to have a “relief” once in a while.
I have met Jimmy…love listening to you both. Trust what you have to say. Your podcast with Jimmy this week answered a few of my questions, when you were discussing your Berberine.
Really appreciate your posts. I am sure there are others that.will have my same questions……Karen
